Our meal was good. My son's waffle was crisp and delicious. The tomato soup was very good. The waitress was a bit over worked she was by herself waiting and bussing tables. She did a good job but there should have been someone else helping. It's cash only but they have an atm in the lobby.

My favorite Big Bear coffee shop. Hearty breakfast and home style dinners. The pot roast is excellent (Wednesday special).

It's cash only. The service was on point. They came quickly but was patient for us to look over the menu. I ordered a avocado, bacon, burger, and a waffle. The meat was delicious. They made their bread homemade I had a really big piece of avocado delicious. My waffle was crispy but yet soft and fluffy.

Came in on Saturday morning around 10am, it was super busy and you have to leave your name on the list to be seated. The parking is small but you can park in the street. It was roughly a 45 minute wait for six people so be prepared for that. The service was great, the food was great and the price was fair. *** CASH ONLY ***** so be prepared The restaurant is casual and there are a lot of families with kids. I would definitely recommend coming here and I would definitely come back.

Quaint little restaurant with a diner feel. Grilled cheese and tomato bisque was perfect on a chilly mountain day. Would definitely go back. FYI - they are cash only.

Excellent, very old school restaurant for some home-style food! PROs: Our server, Bella, was awesome! She was expertly juggling like 10 tables and the bar and never skipped a beat - she was a pro. The food came out very fast and was super fresh. Highly recommend the chicken pot pie. They serve breakfast all day long as well. Nice eating in one of the original restaurants at Big Bear, est. in 1944 and still going strong. Bathrooms were clean. This place is very kid friendly and had lots of options for kids. CONs: It's located in a very high traffic area so expect parking wars if you come during peak season time. I heard there can also be a long wait on the weekends during peak season but we didn't have that experience.

I came at 3pm on a Sunday when the Line Fire stopped. I have heard many people canceled their trips to Big Bear due to the wild fire when I went to a ski shop. This is why the restaurant only had 3 groups of people. The service was outstanding. We sat at the bar counter and was served right away. The food is delicious. I especially love the tomato soup because it wasn't too sweet or soup. The burger was so big and filling. The chicken pot pie was big but it tastes like the pie I make at home so nothing special. The reason why I take off one star is because this is a CASH only restaurant. And restaurants or any business that require cash only don't declare their full income tax so that they can pay less tax, which means you shouldn't even bother tip them. I still tipped a little because the staff was nice. I know because my dad flipped restaurants.
